The Cook County North Shore Hospital and Care Center Campus Expansion and Renovation project is a $24.5 million investment into the future health care for Grand Marais, Minnesota and the North Shore community. The additions and renovations will create a more modern healthcare environment and efficient campus.

Marinette County expects a brand-new, $135 million Bay Area Medical Center (BAMC) to be built in a new location. Right now the hospital sits along the Bay of Green Bay and just two miles away Boldt begins the new hospital project. 

The original building dates back to 1939. After adding advanced cancer treatment, women’s services and more officials say adding on more to an aging structure didn’t make financial sense. The new hospital will fulfill the demand of a greatly needed outpatient surgery center. Medical personnel and equipment are expected to be all moved into the new facility by 2018.

This 13-story, 274 bed acute care hospital is being built in a spirit of innovative collaboration that embraces a Lean culture. Centrally located in San Francisco, the hospital will include specialized and advanced care, along with emergency care among its state-of-the-art services.

With the recognized need for inpatient capacity in the southern half of San Francisco, Sutter Health reached out to HerreroBoldt (a partnership of the Boldt Company and Herrero Builders) in regards to building a replacement to ensure that the needs of the south of market patient population will be served.
